Promote philanthropy at your school by raising money for Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County

ChalkboardPromote community service to your students, teachers, and administrators through a common fundraiser for Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County.  Visit our website to see letters, materials, and ideas you can copy or use as inspiration.

A Meals On Wheels supporter who is an elementary school teacher spearheaded a fundraiser using these materials and raised more than $1,300 in only two weeks.  That’s enough to feed one of our clients for an entire year!  She told us how easy it was to conduct this fundraiser and how much fun the students had.

Contact us if you have questions or need more information.

Power restored! Meal delivery to resume Tuesday, February 14

Power has been restored to our office, which means we plan to resume meal delivery as usual tomorrow.  Our clients had an emergency shelf-stable meal on hand already, which will be replaced in case of inclement weather (or another unexpected emergency such as this one).  Our case managers were able to go out and check on vulnerable clients, but we know many of our volunteers were concerned for their clients today and took measures to check on them.  For that, we thank you!

No meal delivery today, February 13

Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County will not deliver meals today because of a power outage.  Oncor Electric told us the power line to the building was severed, possibly by someone in search of copper.  Repairs are underway; however, until the process is complete and inspected by city inspectors, our office will remain closed.  Every effort is being made to resolve this unfortunate situation today.

Our clients have shelf-stable meals on hand that we provide for use when the kitchen is closed for inclement weather.
